The TP1200 successor class on the Unified platform

At 12.1 inches and 1280 x 800 pixels this is the panel that replaces the classic 12-inch Comfort devices conceptually: same role at the line station, new runtime. Compared with the MTP1000 it adds the larger display and MRP media-redundancy support; the MTP700 covers the small end of the same platform.

Mind the opening: the cutout is not the TP1200 cutout

The MTP1200 mounts in a 310 x 221 mm opening, while the classic TP1200 Comfort uses a different cutout — so a door that took a TP1200 needs measuring before an MTP1200 is ordered. Portrait or landscape mounting and a 35° tilt limit round out the mechanical picture.

MRP support makes the panel ring-ready

Of the three Unified Comfort sizes in this batch, the MTP1200 explicitly supports media redundancy — the panel joins an MRP ring so a single cable fault does not drop the station. On lines where the visualization is production-critical, that line item belongs in the network design, not the wish list.

Two SD slots change the backup story

With 2 x SD alongside the four USB 3.1 ports, project archives and logs can be split from service media — small detail, frequent relief during commissioning and service visits.

Choose by station role: MTP700 for cell-level HMI, MTP1000 as the 9-inch migration target, MTP1200 where the line station wants the biggest Unified display and MRP-capable networking.

Engineered with WinCC Unified Comfort from V16 and connected over PROFINET with a combined RS422/485 port for serial legacy links. Classic TP1200 Comfort projects are rebuilt in Unified, and the 310 x 221 mm cutout is checked against the existing door before ordering. The MTP1000 and MTP700 cover the smaller Unified sizes.
